First of all, my apologies to those that do not celebrate Christmas and are offended by the title.  I use the phrase “Merry Christmas” as a generic holiday greeting, and it is intended to express holiday cheer for people of all faiths and/or lack thereof.  That’s the way I was raised, and I will be deep in the cold, cold ground before I change my ways in this regard.

That being said, I came across this video that brought a smile to my face…which is something that seems to be a bit harder to do now than it was five years ago.

(Note – on the right side of that page, there are other videos of the same house.)

Yes, perhaps I am easily amused, but with everything going on these days, I for one find that I often forget how lucky I am to live in the greatest country on the planet and to live the life that I do in general.

Although I strongly believe that we, the United States, are heading in the wrong direction and have some tough times ahead, the fact remains that there are not many people (relatively speaking) on this planet who are lucky enough to live in a place where such a demonstration is possible by anyone, let alone a private citizen.

God bless you all (even the atheists out there), and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
